First of all, I would like this opportunity on behalf of everyone at Wasteology, to offer our heartfelt thanks to the NHS, carers and everyone working united and selflessly at the front line of the crisis.

COVID 19 Safety Comes First

The dramatic spread of COVID 19 has disrupted lives, livelihoods, communities and businesses worldwide. The waste and recycling sector has been thrust on the front line of the UK’s public health response to coronavirus outbreak. Wasteology have worked closely with Government, Environmental Services Association (ESA), Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM) and with regular updates from WISH the Waste Industry Safety and Health forum, our professional Health and Safety advisors, to ensure RTS Waste are operating in the most safe environment possible.

Wasteology Flexible Working For You

Wasteology has sustained a 100% ability to supply the services our customers have needed.  We are proud of all our staff in being committed to maintaining service while sometimes working from home or different hours. We are aware that some of our customers have struggled to run their businesses as normal and we have been as flexible as possible to adapt to our customers’ requirements. This could be a complete closure of your business or a change in frequency of scheduled collections. Whatever you require, please talk to us or email our Operations team. The best way to communicate is contact us using the Form on the website, although our telephone lines are covered, but with reduced staff numbers. We want to listen/understand how we can help you in any way.

May 8th Bank Holiday Arrangements

Normally we operate through a bank holiday,  however Friday 8^th May bank holiday weekend, our offices will be closed. If you require an out of hours service over this period then please email us on info@wasteology.co.uk Emails to be received by  Wednesday 17:00 hrs pm.

The New Normal – Keep Communication Going

There is hope that gradually the world will become a new normal. Adaptability is key in these unprecedented  times! Wasteology has always prided itself on reliability and responsiveness; therefore we are the right waste management provider to serve your businesses. We are a three generation family business, that more than ever, understands we all have to work carefully together to get through the next stages of this pandemic. As construction sites begin to reopen after the bank holiday, we are preparing for remobilisation and are ready to receive your instructions or enquiries. Just keep the communication going.

31st March 2020 – COVID 19 Temporary Closure

In light of the Government’s announcement, the  responsibility to protect our colleagues and customers seriously.  Business demand has been dramatically effected because of the COVID 19 pandemic. I am writing  to let you know that Wasteology have temporality closed our Business with effect from 1st April 2020 17:00 pm, until further notice.

Communication from Our Managing Director and General Manager

These are unprecedented times for all businesses. The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff are our priority. James and I  wanted to reassure you, RTS Waste Management is still working “business as usual” and we hope there will be no disruption to your services. Compliance has been our focus for 2019 and continues in 2020, improving all our systems to work productively; therefore we are acting on government and regulatory advice on a step by step basis….. we are prepared.

For us all around the globe it is extreme measures not seen in our lifetime, and all of us at Wasteology remain resolute in serving our local customers in Wellington, Taunton, Tiverton, and surrounding areas in Somerset and Devon in the past and we very much look forward to continuing our business with you in the future.

2020 is going to be a challenging year…

At Wasteology we have huge pressures on the environment, the economy, haulage and treatment plant technology and now the Covid 19 pandemic effects will be shocking. If you have been personally affected by losing loved ones before their time we offer our condolences. If your business is has had to temporarily shut because of the lockdown measures necessary to keep vulnerable lives safe, then we want to reach out and hope that you will stay strong and motivated to come back even stronger and more successful. Wasteology will be here to take your business further with more care than ever before on your return.

Supporting Our Customers In Every Way

We have tried to reduce the impact on our customers’ spend as much as possible, by exploring all opportunities in an effort to streamline our costs across all aspects of the business. There is an annual government directive to increase tax on 1^st April and despite our best efforts writing to add pressure to lobby parliament for a change in their decision, we have been unsuccessful. To balance environmental sustainability and business continuity means regrettably that our prices cannot remain static. If we are successful in the future to get this amendment through parliament and reverse the tax increase then we will pass this on to our customers.
